Description

1978 PONTIAC TRANS AM
400/4 SPEED!!
PHS DOCUMENTATION!!
ONLY 89K ORIGINAL MILES!!
FULL PHOTOS AND VIDEO!!It’s no secret that in the mid to late 70’s it was hard to find a production car that produced more than 200 horses so Detroit tried to compensate that with over the top styling. But only the strong will survive during this time until the technology would match the styling in the mid to late 80’s and be perfected by the 90’s. This 1975 Pontiac Trans Am was one of the most popular cars of the 70’s and no wonder why it’s becoming one of the most sought after of its kind today. It has the screaming eagle and overwhelming body kit that made it the most recognizable car of its time. Some might also say that the ever so popular “Smokey and the Bandit” launched this Trans Am to an overwhelming success. Whatever the case may be, ou were definitely somebody when you arrived in a Trans Am. This particular 1975 Trans Am –holds no excuses. It came with all the right ingredients, lashy read color, 00 cubic inch engine, ith the most desirable HURST 4 speed and an awesome sounding dual exhaust. Please read on about the condition of this vehicle and let us know of any questions you may have.

Exterior:

The exterior of this Trans Am is in excellent driver quality condition. It would certainly stand tall at any show or cruise night. You will find some scratches and blemishes which are very minor here and there(see photos). It really needs someone to take it to the next level. It’s the fine details which need to be perfected for an awesome show quality result. The body appears to solid throughout. The car was certainly maintained and if any rust was apparent at some time it was taken care of. The floors and trunk are solid and most importantly underneath is solid too(see photos). All the glass is clear and chip/haze/crack free. The original bright work is still brilliant. Tires are BF Goodrich. Wheels are original and could use some touching up. The paint is in excellent condition and shows a nice luster. We’ve photographed the obvious blemishes all which are minor. Please look at the photos and watch the video and let us know of any questions you may have.

Interior:

As you can see from the pictures, he interior show’s beautifully. The interior as well as the exterior has been maintained over the years. It is a mixture of original and maintained. Obviously the radio is aftermarket. But the dash, oor panels, onsole and seats are original showing hardly any wear for its age. The carpet appears to be replaced and the headliner is in excellent condition. The gauges work as they should. And as said earlier, ome minor detailing will be a real plus. The trunk interior has the correct space saver spare and jack. Please look at the pictures and let us know of any questions you may have.

Drive-Train:

As well as the body and interior, he drive-train has been completely maintained. It has its correct 400 block that has been maintained through the years and runs and drives and certainly sounds beautiful. The clutch engages perfectly and through all 4 gears smooth and strong. All suspension and braking system has maintained as well. The exhaust has been redone with flowmasters and sound strong and true. The car is extremely road worthy and is ready for show or go. Please let us know of any questions you may have.

In summation, his is a perfect car for someone who doesn’t have the time and/or skills to do a complete restoration, et loves to tinker and pays attention to detail. This car presents beautifully the way it sits, owever you can nit pick it. But only in the finishing details. OR, f you want something you can just get in and drive, his car would be great. I urge you to ask any questions you may have or come and see the car in person. Its garaged kept and comes with plenty of records and receipts.
