Rare 1972 Pontiac Trans am for sale. 1 of 826 automatics produced in 1972. This car is one of the highest option 72 Trans am you will see.455 H O engine with automatic transmission. It was restored in the mid 1990's. At the time the car received new GM quarter panels and fenders. The engine is correct except for the block which is a 1971 YG 455 block. The engine was balanced and blueprinted. It retains it's correct heads, arb, ntake and exhaust manifolds. The air conditioning needs to be hooked up and the hood scoop is not functional at this time. The tach is also not working. Beside easily correctable things, he car is in very good condition. Most parts used in the restoration are original GM parts. The stripe kit came from Stencils and Stripes. I rarely used the car and has been garage kept. The engine has less than a thousand miles on the rebuild. The rear end has the original 3.08 gears.
