This GTO has been my pride and joy for some time. I built it to look subtle and run like hell! It's a Z vin code Freemont California built car and was sold new at "Bob Longpre Pontiac" in Westminster Calif. It is painted a beautiful 1968 color of Meridian Turquoise, nd was ordered with some great options including the retractable headlamps, lack cordova top, alley wheels. door edge guards, uto. trans, /C, -track tape (which is not in car), ush button AM/FM radio. I do have the PHS Documents. It now has a brand new 464 C.I.D. "Pump Gas" motor with aluminum Edelbrock heads with larger valves installed and expert port work done. The Engine was built by noted Pro-Stock driver and Pontiac specialist John Gaydosh. The motor has too much to list, nd the estimates are close to 600 H.P. It has a Comp cams roller cam, ew forged "icon" lightweight pistons, orged H-beam rods, nd Moroso 8 Qt. oil pan. I chose to go with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with an 850 Demon carb. because it looked more stock, hus the stealth theme. The motor has less than 100 miles on it, I dropped it back in about a month ago) and the trans and rear probably have less than 500 miles. There's a completely rebuilt and beefed up TH-400 trans, ith a custom built stall converter. I replaced the weak 10 bolt rear with a brand new 12 bolt posi, ith a beefy eaton posi unit, nd new street/strip axles. I used tubular upper and lower rear control arms with a 7/8" rear sway bar. This combination is very drive-able and runs great on 93 octane pump-gas. I have stacks of receipts not only for the engine but for the car and drivetrain as well. ***Also a huge plus is that THE ORIGINAL 400 ENGINE that came in the car new is INCLUDED. It is numbers correct from intake to oil pan. The GTO still has all it's original sheetmetal. Never a quarter or fender replaced or patched! The interior is mostly original with exceptions of a new dash pad and headliner about 4 yrs. ago. The seat upholstery is original, nd front seat foam could stand to be replaced, just chose to leave it original as I focused on the rest of the car. It has an original Hurst "dual-gate" shifter in the console. I outfitted the car with an Autometer shift-light tach and oil and water temp gauges. The car also has an MSD 6-AL unit with rev-limiter, which is hidden in the kick panel. I tried to carry a "stealth sleeper" theme on this car, nd if you study the pics you will see this. I built this car for myself, nd my quest to have a somewhat stock looking musclecar that sounded like a bad as_ bruiser when started or cruising, nd will blister the tires at 50-60 mph. The GTO is really a blast to drive, very trip is an adventure! I have NOT taken this car to the track with this combination but it is certainly ready to do so, and I would think it will deliver some impressive times. **This car is not perfect, ot a total show car, et it always turns heads, ets thumbs up and puts a huge smile on your face after smashing the throttle and holding on!
