The 1968 California pink slip shows this 1955 Porsche Speedster, alifornia black plate # UPY304 (yuppie?) registered on P34576 which was probably its original engine.
The car was just verified, nd DMV will issue a current title on chassis #80413 that is stamped in front of the gas tank, nd on the tag attached to the left door post. According to our research, t is speedster #212 of 1700.
The previous custodians were likely the 2nd owners, urchasing it near Berkley, A in September 1968. They drove it until 1974, nd parked it when it developed ugly noises. The 1960 S-90 *800409* that goes with the car was supposedly overhauled, ut never installed. The transmission is #36618
Please examine the images carefully. If you have a realistic question about the car, lease inquire and I will post an honest and truthful answer. I’d appreciate it if you will respect the auction system; and not ask whadyatakenow?
As far as I know, ou can buy all the new body parts needed for well under $20,000. The usual sources should be able to provide any other items needed.
A friend has the following original Porsche parts; top bows with latches, peedster seats, teering wheel, orn button, 6” wheels, ach and speedometer, n early 56 engine, split case type 519 transmission with the correct shifter with linkage, ood handle with crest, gnition switch, tarter button and will sell them to the purchaser of this car. If the purchaser does not want some or all of the parts he will sell them to others who may need them. PS: The picture of the $583,000 blue Speedster is not intended to make you think we expect even half of that amount, ut it just has to be an interesting story!
