1962 Porsche 356B T6 in need of complete restoration. This car has been stored for the last 28 years and was last driven in 1985. The last picture shows the car coming out of storage after nearly three decades. A Volkswagen dual port 1600 engine is currently in place, ut an incomplete Porsche engine (missing crank shaft, arbs, istributor etc, refer to pictures) #P87303 is included with the sale. This engine appears to be a 1600S built in 1960, o it is likely not the original engine. The car has a later 356C trans-axle #73988, o it has that "rare and desirable" combination of front drums and rear disc brakes. The front wheels are date coded 3/61 and the rears are dated 63. The body has had an amateur repair consisting of a sheet steel floor, op riveted aluminum panels and some steel fence post reinforcements under the seats. The area in the trunk where the chassis number would be stamped is gone as is the tag in the driver's door jamb, onsequently, he car will be sold on a bill of sale only. I do have a copy of the last 1985 NY registration, hich indicates that 117300 is the chassis number. The original color appears to be Signal Red with black leather. Please review the pictures to get an idea of the extensive rust on the car. The glass is complete and in good shape. The combination gauge is missing. The rear bumper, umper over-riders, ocker deco moldings and new rear torsion bars are included. The car rolls freely and is easily accessible for pickup. You can call 607-745-6482 or 315-877-1015 with any questions or to arrange to see the car.
