Description

Up for sale is my beautiful, umbers matching 1973.5 Porsche 911T CIS Targa in Black over Black. The car has been well cared for over the years and it really shows. This is a sharp looking long-hood, recently waxed the car and the black paint is like glass. There is no rust on the vehicle, nd this is a really good example of the most desired versions of the long-hood 911.

The 2.4 engine with CIS fuel injection are original to the vehicle. The 911 starts right up every time, uns excellently, nd has good power throughout the gears. The engine compartment on the vehicle is nice and tidy as the car has been well kept. There are no engine or fluid leaks which is common for early 911’s. The 915 transmission in the car shifts very well through the gears, nd the car is currently fitted with a short-shift kit.

The interior of 911 is really nice and clean. Currently there are black cloth recaro seats in the car, ut I have the original black vinyl seats which will be provided to the new owner. The car has great door panels, ockets, nd door hardware. The car has a nice looking dash cover, ut the original dash is cracked underneath. The cloth headliner for the Targa top is great condition and the sun visors in the car are also new. All the gauges work for the 911 with the exception of the clock. I recently fitted a Nardi steering wheel in the car, ut the original steering wheel will be provided to the new owner with the purchase.

The undercarriage of the car is in good condition as the floor pans and rockers are very dry and original to the vehicle. There are no rust bubbles in the usual places such the doors corners, enders, nd below the windshield (see pictures). The vinyl targa top on the 911 is in really great condition with no aging or tears. All exterior moldings and seals are in good shape as well. Trim pieces (bright work) are nice and shine nicely without scratching. As previously mentioned the 73.5 Targa has really good paint with only a few minor rock chips from driving the vehicle.

The car is fitted with front and rear sway bars. Suspension bushings are in decent shape as the car does not squeak. The car originally came with 15x 6 (deep six) fuch wheels, he rims are still in good shape with all new Yokohama tires (including the spare). The brake rotors were recently resurfaced, long with adding new brake pads. I also recently replaced the two interstate batteries in the vehicle. The 911 Targa currently sports European H4 headlamps, owever I do have the original US sugar scoop assemblies and hardware which will come with the car.

Per the COA on the car, he engine and the transmission are original to the car. The original colors for the car were brown over brown. Along with the COA, will provide the owner’s manual, ilstein jack, nd tool kit for the vehicle to the new owner.

As most know, he 1973.5 was the only long-hood that was produced with the CIS fuel injection. Some say the 1973.5 with the CIS is the best running long-hood made. This car is a great driver and I will be sad to see it go. The next owner will be proud to own this rare (CIS injection) and early Porsche 911.

Please send me a private message to discuss the car in further detail as I have more photos of the vehicle. The car is advertised locally and as a result I reserve the right to cancel the auction early. I have tried to represent the car to the best of my knowledge. I do encourage interested parties to conduct a pre-party inspection (PPI). Winning this auction does not mean you get to come look at the car and then decide if you want to buy it as I had an issue with a past auction. After sale or close of auction, am requiring a $1000 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours and the final payment will be required within a week via cash/wire transfer. Final payment is ONLY accepted via wire transfer or cash in person. No other methods are accepted. Full payment must be within a week after the sale or buyer defaults on the sale. Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility but I will work with the buyer to accommodate shipping and pickup of the car.
