The Turbo look option includes front and rear spoilers (the rear spoiler known as the ‘tea tray” for it's lipped edge is exclusive to the turbo look cars), ront and rear fenders are M491Porsche steel that were put on 1986, span>And of course given that it's a 1984 model, omes with the famous, eliable and smooth shifting 915 transmission.
In 1980, ue to US emission regulations, he 930 was pulled from the North American market and it didn't return until 1986. This left a huge hole for any driver in North America that wanted the aggressive looks and increased performance of the Turbo. The aftermarket tuners jumped on this and started turning the 3.2 Carreras into turbo-look cars. The quality of the body work ranged from frighteningly bad bondo jobs to conversions so good they were almost indistinguishable from factory produced 930s this 911 falls into that amazing category of DONE BEYOND THE FACTORY SPECS .
But even with the good ones it was hard and very expensive to go deeper than wide fenders and spaced wheels and tires. The 930s had a very different suspension setup to take full advantage of the wide-body, igger brakes, igger wheels, tc. and to replicate this was a massive undertaking to get it done as well as this 911 Wide Body was done to.
This 911 Wide/BodyCab was done to perfection!
Porsche woke up to the fact that they were losing money to the tuner market and in 1984 they began offering the M491 option on the 3.2 Carrera. The parts on this 911 were ordered from the Porsche factory and can be felt by the quality of the workmanship. I have over $65,000 in this car……The air cooled cars are selling though the roof and they are only going to go higher…..$42,500 is a steal
