You're looking at a 1973 Porsche 914 project car. It has been sitting since 1996. The odometer reads 51,149 but the actual mileage is unknown. It's a California car with documentation including a factory window sticker factory manual and original Porsche manual/document holder. It has both California blue license plates and a clean California title. It needs complete restoration and is missing some parts. It would make a great father and son restoration project or maybe even a race car. It appears to me to have never been wrecked.I tried to be very thorough in my picture taking. I am not a 914 expert. Please ask any and all questions. I'll be happy to provide you with pictures of anything you need to see.
The windshield is cracked. The tires are old but hold air. It rolls and steers fine. The emergency brake works but is stiff. I painted the wheels. I'm not sure if they're Porsche wheels or not. The original bumper jack setup is under the hood. The original door jamb sticker is there with the VIN number, ade in 3 of 1973. The door glass rolls up and down. It has a broken radio antenna. The motor deck lid and screen lid do not latch. There is rust under the battery box and in the rocker molding. The rubber bumper cushions are rusted. The windshield moldings are here but are very bent (may be fixable). No rust holes in the doors, runk or hood lid. Surface rust only on the motor lid. The air cleaners have been off for years. There is water in the motor and I don't know if it is salvageable or not. The car is originally silver, as then painted orange and is now in primer. The passenger door opens, ut only from the inside. The seats are not bolted down. This may sound funny, ut the ash tray is super nice on the inside. No one ever put anything in it, on-smoker. The front of the bottom of the car where the spare tire sits was bottomed out (as shown). There is a new carpet kit included, t's still nice, new front fiberglass air dam, new rear fiberglass lower valance and new left-hand and right-hand fiberglass rocker moldings.
To sum it up, would say it's pretty hard to find a car with its original window sticker, oth California blue plates and not that rusty. It's a no reserve auction. I got a good deal on it, o you're getting a good deal on it.
