You are bidding on a 1990 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 Cabriolet (also known as a 964). This classic beauty runs and drives amazing. It has been regularly maintained and driven and is very happy.
This model of Porsche is highly sought after as it is one of the last models of the air-cooled Porsches and retains much of the Porsche's original iconic body style. This car gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes - even in Miami Beach where luxury cars are a norm. This classic gets tons of respect - when driving be ready for people to be checking you out - beeping, humbs-ups, hotos and even asking you to pull over to get a better look!
We've always been Porsche enthusiasts. This 964 has been our favorite car to own and drive, ut is now impractical to keep with the birth of our new child.
Body & Paint: Body is straight and in excellent shape. Passenger door shows the only visible paintwork done. Paints shines and shows beautifully. Some areas of paint are thin and appear blotchy. A few minor well done touch-ups. Small area (aprox 2 inches - see photos) of rust under the paint at passenger side lower windshield.
Convertible Top: Mechanically works perfect. New cables installed recently. Fabric top and clear window in excellent condition. Very small and minor repairs to the fabric that are barely noticeable. Top recently show signs of leaking during heavy rains. We suspect that the seal at the roof is not making perfect contact with the top edge of the window. Tonneau cover included.
Tires & Wheels: New Bridgestone 17" with less than 2500 miles driven. Wheels in fair condition, inor scratches and minor curb rash.
Engine: Runs strong and sounds GREAT. Well maintained and run regularly. New Alternator, an, an Pully, nd Belt. Engine compartment is clean. Spoiler not working and left in the "up' position (Spoiler motor works - probably needs new cable assembly). Steering is perfect and tight. New Rack with new boots installed recently.
AC: New AC compressor and fresh freon no leaks and is cold. Interior Fan Blower not 100%. Only Blows on fan speed settings 3 and 4. Fan blower probably needs replaced.
Interior: Excellent color combination and accent piping on the seats (tan and black). Power seats work perfect. Driver seat leather is in poor condition - cracks in lumbar and visible tear on seat. Passenger seat in fair condition. Door panels in great condition. Rear seats in good condition - small scratches on one of the upper seat backs. Shifter knob and hand brake in average condition. Tan side panels near doors need repair - leather in good condition but peeling from its original form. Instruments and steering wheel in in good condition. Dashboard in fair condition showing small cracks above the instruments and minor warp in the panel near the windshield. Carpet in excellent condition. Four original Carrera 2 floor mats included. Interior cab light not working.
Storage: Carpet in good condition, pare tire good and new battery. Missing misc original tools.
Trim: Overall trim is in good condition. All Seals and Rubber in tact. These items need to be replaced -Rear Carrera emblem and Tail light lenses.
