Here we have a 1972 Porsche 911T Targa, chassis number 9112111311, in Sepia Brown. This is a 911T-E, which was originally equipped with mechanical fuel injection (MFI). It came to us with engine #6122347 which has a hole in the top of the case. The owner started disassembling the engine, and also began to source replacement parts including case #6129095. All of the engine parts that come with the car are pictured, the engine is not complete and will need further parts sourcing and complete assembly. The correct 915/02 gearbox is still with the car.
While in storage this car remained very well preserved. The interior, while lived in, is in presentable condition and has perfect patina for a '72 car. The door tag is still intact indicating paint code 415, Sepia Brown, one of the most iconic Porsche colors of the 1970s. The paint is in bad shape, with lots of crazing and cracking, and will need a repaint. The car is remarkably solid, please see the underside photos as an example of how clean the metal is. When was the last time you saw a battery box with original paint on the inside? We rarely see unrestored cars this solid. This car is also equipped with a very rare A/C system.
The previous owner installed a 930 engine as the first step toward building his hot rod, and the car arrived here as a driving vehicle. Please see the video of the car driving below, but please note that the 930 engine in the video is NOT INCLUDED with the car and has been removed. The 2.4 liter engine in the eBay photos has been bolted in place for transport:

Finding a car this well preserved and solid is a rarity these days. With a sympathetic restoration and sorting, this car will be one of the most original and envied cars in any lineup of vintage Porsches. The 1972 model year saw the only 911 with an external oil filler, and not many of them are still around. Don't miss this opportunity to put an icon back on the road and become the next custodian of such an amazing period Porsche.
This car has a clear title and is ready for export.
