Description

This is a well cared for first generation Porsche 928 . It is finished in original color of Indian Red ( bright red ) with tan leather interior . It is the rarer 5 speed US model with factory working power sunroof . It has not been wrecked or modified and is a nice stock diver . It has been with us for a while and I can tell you still holds up in the design 34 years after birth . It runs and drives well . currently on the road and driven sparingly but kept in good running order . It has a very clean nice original body with a small ding on lower portion of passenger door . hard to see in pictures but present . Most everything is in good working order as to daily driving . What needs some attention is drivers power window does not work ( motor/switch ? ) . the tachometer stopped a few years ago . The speedometer does work but the odometer stopped since last Spring just under 90k original miles . I drove it a handful of times maybe 100 miles if that . All the gauges are working oil/temp/amp/fuel . all lights . fog lamps . turn signals . wipers . and even the power sunroof still works . and even the clock . door buzzer . etc. The factory original radio worked till just the other day ( most likely fuse ) and should have it working by end of auction . the power antenna also worked as well . Interior is all original and shows little wear but for a few very minor things . carpet on drivers door panel little loose . the top of the binnacle has a crack and leather is starting to shrink around the defroster . That"s all about the worse of it . a weekend of tinkering with a few few hours and it should be all fine . If your looking for an honest original first generation and NOT the type to settle for an automatic and believe all Porsche's should be red then this is a great candidate for you . Underside shows well . never abused or neglected . The hood and trunk struts are weak and need replacement . Engine runs well and shifts well . has the usual "skip second gear till it warm's up " but does not grind if you must use it . just a typical 928 with 5 speed . Overall a very nice car . I can not garage it any longer and hate to see it sitting outside . I have collector car insurance on it . cost is very little annually . Title is clear and in my name .
