Description

*1966* Porsche 912. All original "other than motor & *metal* fender flares" (the motor seems to be a 1968 *912* based upon motor number); miles are thought to be accurate. INTERIOR: headliner. seats & surrounds are fixable (just mostly need "cleaning". The dash is perfect with no cracks. BODY: Some dings & paint flaws. but 97% rust FREE (that means small *paint pops. but no holes. or if any only pinholes). NO holes in floors or rockers. Clean smooth rust/ding free roof & rain grids/hood/motor cover-lid. MOTOR: DOES NOT RUN. When I first got the car. it turned with key-new starter installed. On its first actual start & 15 seconds of run. it stopped as if it ran out of gas with no knocks. chatter or noise. It is now almost completely STUCK (turns hard with a power bar to crank bolt; plugs removed). Looks to be new valve tubes. I removed the valve covers & see no valve/push rod abnormalties of any kind. The oil pump gears seem good/not damaged (I removed pulley to get to gears). If you know your Porsche parts. this motor is worth $3500+ even needing a rebuild. NEW PARTS INSTALLED PRIOR TO MOTOR MALFUNCTION: Starter; gas lines; electric fuel pump; accelorator pedal link connector; gas tank additives (moisture inhibitor & stabilizer); gas filler hose & clamps; battery terminal ends; engine compartment door hold up cylinder. The gas tank was removed. cleaned. checked; re-installed. Gas was feeding. pumping. & thrusting out of each carburetor. TITLE/PAPERWORK: BOTH number plates are in original places/original rivits. I do not have a title at this time. It will be sold with a BILL OF SALE. There will be a free & clear title in 50 or so days. GUARANTEED. The title will be clear with no brandings or labels. I chose to wait for a clear title rather than a bonded title. The car & vehicle ID plates were inspected & verified by a Florida police officer for the potential Florida title work (2 plates on car. one on driver door pillar & one in the trunk). A copy of that Florida VIN verify form is available (this also validates car exixts; & they came to my home to see car). Has an original jack with spare. Old 912 repair manual. also. An original engine pan & one carb filter assembly is with car. PAYMENTS. ETCETERA: The $500 Deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE. Deposit can be through PayPal. BUT balance in full must be cash. cashiers check (checks take 3 days to a week to clear sometimes). or wire transfer (preferred). No PayPal for balance payment! A previous buyer was lucky I didn't want his balance through PayPal. It gave him an escape excuse even though my car was really just one of his multi-car buying frenzy. The motor number is 1284663. a *1968 912 motor; See website 356a. comThis is an "AS IS" SALE. **NOTE: I meant to make this listing a "make offer" format. So. I will entertain offers for all our fun. If ever an offer is agreed upon by both parties. I would adjust the numbers for that bidder to own. I really prefer to wait until the title comes in to sell. But. just thought I'd put this out there one more time.
