We sell and service lots of 911s but this 1981 Porsche 911SC coupe is one of the best we have ever had. Original paint (verified by paint meter) is in excellent condition and in keeping with the car's low mileage of approximately 65. 00. The original interior is equally as nice with optional leather seats. clear working gauges including clock and an un-warped and crack-free dash -- the only flaw worth noting is some minor discoloration on the headliner. The old saying goes "it's only original once" and this car is a testament to how good these 911s are when they have always been well maintained and kept in stock form. Extensive records include a major engine-out service within the last 15. 00 miles to replace the clutch. install Carrera timing chain tensioners and new oil return tubes among other items. Brakes and Conti Sport tires are also newer. mounted on nice 16-inch Fuchs. Recent steering column. shifter bushings and axle rebuilds. All books. factory keys. tools. air pump included. Speedo was swapped out from the 85mph unit to the more desirable 160mph unit in 2008 -- the old unit had 57. 00 miles showing and the new one had 53. 00 miles so actual mileage is about 4. 00 more than what is showing currently -- this is all documented in the records. Runs and drives beautifully. The 3. 0 is smooth. strong and dry; the 915 gearbox shifts among the best of any we have felt.
