Description

A 1975 Porsche 911 with a Porsche 959 body kit and a Chevy V8 Engine Swap. 100% California street legal, emissions legal, registered and insured.
My lifelong dream vehicle is up for sale. I spent the past couple of decades chasing a 959 bodied car that I could drive on the street.
Finally, I spent the better half of a couple of years and north of $40K to get it built and got it done. Sadly I waited too long and now I'm too old to enjoy the car so I have to sell it.
The car was completed for me by the body shop for Christmas of 2014. It was driven from the body shop into my indoor storage facility. I was to spend 1 weekend on connecting the headlight wires and a slight redo on the cooling system slightly before making it my "daily driver". I got so busy that the day never came so the this summer I find myself with a car that has sat still for nearly 2 years. I can no longer afford the space and I've lost interest in driving the vehicle.
I'm offering this vehicle to someone with the same passion for the 959 look on a real Porsche 911 car. I went to great lengths to buy a 1975 model 911 so that it is smog exempt. I also liked the idea of a simple to service a basic Chevy V8 small block engine. When the opportunity came along to purchase a 1975 Porsche 911 with a V8 Swap already in place, I made the purchase. I then purchased another complete Porsche 911 car just for the 959 body kit. I then spent $15000 at the best body shop in California to transform it into the beautiful Guards red color 959 replica that you see here.
The picture of the car with the 993TT wheels is fresh out of the body shop back in December 2014. The picture of the car with the darker wheels is how it looks today (September 2016). I no longer have the 993 TT wheels. The car comes with the dark wheels as shown and it fits the 959 body style better. I had those wheels freshly powder coated before installing them onto the car. The car has not been outdoors since it was painted almost two years ago. The car has not been washed since 2014 and there is a thin film of dust on the car as it sits today. Once it's washed, it will shine just like the first day it came out of the paint booth.
The car drives! It was driven to and from the body shop. However, the previous owner did not provide adequate cooling in the cooling system for the beastly V8 engine so it will overheat on a long drive due to inadequate cooling. You will have to redesign a new radiator setup with new coolant hoses. The only other thing that needs to be done is to wire the old headlight connectors to the NEW style headlights that came with the 959 body kit. I was to take care of this on that one weekend as they are both simple jobs that would not take long. I've not found the time so the new owner will have to take care of these. The rear lights, light switches etc. all work fine.
If you have questions on the history of the car, I will share. It's unfortunate that I have to sell, but I will only sell to the right buyer and that is one who will appreciate this car. Please send any questions before bidding. Thank you.
