Although the ppi went well I wanted to bring the car to a whole new level. I proceeded to invest nearly $40k to make it not only one of the best looking G50 cars but likely the best driving one! The previous owner had passed away and the family had it stored under a cover for over a year. The paint was average but there were etched stains and some previous minor paintwork did not match perfectly. Car was taken down to the primer and painted by C&C of Alhambra CA. Original color match is perfect. Pictures do not do it justice.Car was leaking oil quite a bit so I elected to drop the motor. As there were many suspect areas of the leaks I wanted to make it right so the cylinder heads were pulled to replace the valve guides as a preventative measure. Cylinder heads ported and polished. New Web camshafts installed. Engine completely resealed. Heat exchanger set and muffler Jet Hot coated. Dansk cat bypass and original catalytic are included (both are Jet Hot coated as well). Steve Wong performance chip installed. New fuel injectors and wire set. Hoses replaced. Completely serviced with all fresh fluids.Additional highlights include:
  • Fuchs refinished and lips polished by renowned Porsche specialist Harvey Weidman.
  • New Bridgestone RE11 tires installed
  • Headliner and carpet set replaced sourced from Autos International
  • Newly leather wrapped dash by Prestige in North Hollywood CA. Vintage Ferrari and Porsche specialist.
  • Clutch replaced. Additionally installed modification for clutch actuation
  • Elephant Racing sway bar reinforcement kit installed.
  • Front strut tower brace installed.
  • Brake pads and rotors along with all brake lines replaced. Brake calipers overhauled. Front wheel bearings replaced.
  • Rear shocks replaced. Turbo tie rods installed.
  • All door seals replaced and side glass window wiper seals replaced. New door brakes were installed
  • Speakers replaced by Porsche audio specialist Rawlings Audio of Monrovia CA
Many other idiosyncrasies addressed and corrected. Essentially any rubber item showing age or wear was replaced. Detailed list is far too long.If you are in the market for a beautiful "turn key" no issue 911 this is it. Currently kept in a climate controlled garage in southern California.
