Description

Offered for sale is my 1967 Short Wheel Base Porsche 912. It is a no accident story free VIN#461314 and Engine#753549 matching California car. I am the 3rd owner of the car and with the exception of the aftermarket radio MSD ignition and paint touch ups from the previous owner the car is solid runner. Interior: Among the sea of white 912's with black interiors out there the red interior just gives this car extra charm. All dials lights and electrical bits function without issue. The radio however is temperamental working only when she feels like it. I've also added the period correct lap belts for this car. For the understated touch I chose the belts without the Porsche emblems. The sun visors as well as dash are amazingly well preserved and original. The headliner is in great shape overall but there is a small 1”-2” tear. Exterior: The previous owners to this 912 I believe never garaged the car. Walking up to the car there are little dings and blemishes that you would expect from a car with this age. Sometime in the life of the car the car was touched up in various areas it wasn't repainted whole and shares the same age and shade of color as the rest of the car. Underneath: Underneath the car is 100% solid with 0 rust in the rocker panels and floor boards. Areas between the wheel wells are also bone dry. Mechanical: The motor is completely stock but for easy cold starts the previous owner added an MSD ignition to assure immediate starts. The acceleration and clutch feel perfect. I can attest to this since I've had this 912 serviced by my mechanic Charles who is ex-The Stable. The hand brake pulls and stops with utmost confidence as does the foot brake if you're a San Francisco buyer. Additional notes: My 912 is one of the last short wheel based 902's produced. The car was also ordered with the optional 5 speed transmission along with the original 14" Fuch's wheels. Though I've not tracked this car I also understand that 1967 is the cut off for vintage historic racing events.

Reason I am selling: I've always wanted a vintage 911 and couldn't afford one. I got what I could afford which was this 912. The power has been adequate and it is leagues more fun than my father's 356 but with summer approaching I do want air conditioning and my fiancé just will not put up a car without it or airbags for a family we're about to start.
