Description

1978 Porsche SC Targa - complete no expense spare restoration approx 10 yrs ago with only 10k miles on this beautiful classic since restoration.

I just had the car serviced along with a fresh PA State inpection completed on 6/30/1 to assure the car is perfect and without issue. Seller can talk to the garage. During the past 2 months we replaced the clutch cable and rebuilt the pedal box as it showed signs of wear and I have always been proactive on repair concerns. Also repaired the drivers side door handle as it was not opening perfectly. Works as new now. I just replaced the rear tires in June 2015, nly a few miles on these brand new W rated tires. . Fresh oil and engine and valve adjustment service. Spent over $1300 last week on this recent service.

Partial list of upgrades below:

  • 3.2 liter Carrera engine conversion with 98 mm Andial pistons

This is a pristine example of a classic 911 with all the upgrades to make it a one of a kind and mechanically perfect SC. This car turns heads and commands accolades every where it is spotted.

Full package of documented work, eceipts, xpenses and parts purchases detailing the restoration and all services post the upgrade. This is a well-documented car with records from past owner until now. Repair manuals included.

Engine has less than 10k on it since complete rebuild and Carrera 3.2 upgrade. (98mm piston conversion, pprox a $4500 upgrade done properly) Drives like a factory fresh car and will bring a smile to you face as soon as you turn the key.

Recently had the valves adjusted, hifter linkage upgraded and replaced (machined aluminium) Clutch cable and pedal box replaced and rebuilt. The oil intake hose and all fluids replaced as well as filters with less than 30 drive miles since replacement. I have spent over $4,000 in past couple of months with receipts to verify. This 911 runs and drives as it should. Handles and feels very tight.

This is my youth dream car and I have poured my love and resources into it and am only selling it as we are relocating out of the country.

Note: AC does not work and was not converted to 134 however I have receipts showing all new AC components installed at 87k so I do believe a recharge of R12 is only required. I only drive it on nice summer days and just never need to upgrade it or worry about it. Just took the targa top off and enjoyed the fresh air. The heater and vents do work perfectly though.

Very serious inquires only, o joy rides will be granted! Tons of detailed DropBox photos and videos with the engine running are available per request.
