You are bidding on a very nice example of a well preserved 1971 Porsche 914 1.7 Targa. I purchased this car several years agofrom the second ownerwho had the car since 5-24-87. I have spent the last several years restoring the car. Following are a list of items that have been done to it;
-New paint (all window, eals, anels, tc.. were removed from the car prior to having a nice paint job done. This car is a California car and is completely RUST free.
-New interior upholstery as needed ( This car still has the original door panels, arpeted floor mats, isors,)
-New dash pad cover added
-Replacement 1.7 L engine from a 1973 Porsche 914 (I removed the original engine which I still have and it comes with the car as a spare with fuel injection. Replacement motor has 40K original miles on it) Compression test = 150 lbsPSI
-Complete tune up to replacement motor (points, lugs, ap, otor, oil, ires, luids, uel filter, oses etc..)
-Rebuild dual Solex 40P11-4carbs
-New shift bushings and linkage
-New replacement front brake calipers from Pelican parts and rebuilt rear brake calipers including hoses
-new racing mirrors
-New weather seals as required
-New interior light assembly
-New battery
-Rally pack interior gauge cluster with arm rest and auxiallry switches
-Electrical system completely gone thru including new relays and fuses. All electrical is working per factory specs.
-AM/FM radio is included but not installed. I assumed new owner would want to install a newer CD/Radio system. Has original speakers in kick panel and all wiring connection present for new stereo installation.
-Original Jack/tools, pare tire included
-Nice quality front Bra included
If you have been looking to own one of these classic Porsche 914's then look no further. This is a really sweet car ready to enjoy. The steel gt flares really add to it's appearance and allow for wide tires to give it the racing GT look. The only thing this car will need is a new set of tires at some point as they are older tires and should be changed. The carbs will possibly need adjusting to new buyer location. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a test drive and inspection. Good luck bidding!
