We have been in the automobile service business for just over 40 years
and have had a good number of Porsche automobiles that we have owned, br>serviced and sold. This a very nice C2 Cabriolet that we acquired from
one of our service customers and it is all there; all systems are in excellent condition.
It has had a near complete engine rebuild due to the rare event of
inadvertently running over an unseen object in the road that caused the
oil cooler line to leak. An unfortunate occurrence for the former owner, br>but exceptional good luck for the next one. Practically the entire engine was redone with all new parts by the renowned Porsche specialist, nterSport of Tysons Corner, A., $14,000 rebuild. This was performed just 6K miles ago.
The 3.6 liter engine runs strong and smooth. The 6 speed manual
transmission shifts perfectly into every gear and is noise free. The
clutch operates correctly and the release and engagement point reflects
plenty of service life left. The suspension on the vehicle is tight and
it drives and handles superbly on the road. The brakes are excellent.
Everything works properly and the power top as well as all power options
are fully operable. There are no check engine, aintenance or error
lights on in this vehicle. Body and paint are in excellent condition.
Even though we have followed the classic car market for several decades, br>we probably don't have to tell you about the recent upswing in the
Porsche 911 series of air cooled automobiles. Porsche built just over
2,000 911 Cabriolets in 1990. We believe the air cooled Porsche market
will continue its current upward appreciation curve as the classic car
market continues to develop interest in the high end imported sports
models.
