Super Rare Saab Sonett II, wo Stroke with a very low serial #046. A very original barn find. They only made 258 of these cars. This one has very little rust as you can see from the photo....which is rare for these cars (I have owned 16 of them). I never thought I would sell this car but I acquired #035 last fall and deiced to sell this one for someone to restore. It needs total restoration, ut it is all there. The hood is off another one of my Sonett II two strokes. I used the hood off this #046 back in 2000 to finish the restoration on my serial #172 Sonett II with only 450 ACTUAL miles on it. I needed a hood that looked OEM on the underside of the under coating. Sorry. But the hood it has on it now is fine, ust been painted and sanded down in another life. No damage on it. All the lights off the hood are included as you see in the photo.
This car has the original rare "Bubbled" rear & front glass. Very rare to have both. It also has the RARE side draft Solex carbs and manifold with correct float chamber. It also has the oil tank (different from 96 models) and the air filter assemble. It has the correct thermostat housing (it is missing the electrical sender unit for the fan). The engine and head are from a standard triple...NOT the Monte Carlo setup. But those are easy to find and still come up for sale on ebay. I beleive I have a title and will look for it. If not and you NEED one I can get one from the state of Iowa but takes some time. I will edit this post if I find it. I will help "out of country" buyers anyway I can but you are responsible to make arrangements.
It does come with thesoccerball rims off a later Sonett. (Can swap back to steel if you prefer)
