Description

1994 SAAB 900 turbo convertible (this is the last year they were made by SAAB before GM took over production). Automatic / 130,693 miles This is a classic car, and I love her but having two small children I no longer have time to work on her and she is getting neglected. Car runs, but need a tune up. Odometer shows 130k but I have rebuilt the engine about five years ago. THE GOOD Top is power and works fine -- no leaks -- glass rear window ( there are two holes developing in the top but no leaks yet) AC runs cold (replaced compressor, lines, filter, and dryer about 2 years ago) Power door and windows all work as well New radio / CD player with remote (purchased and installed about 3 years ago) Tires, while several years old have little wear as it was only used once a month or so for light driving (my wife will not let me put a car seat in it for kids) About 5 years ago I pulled the engine and overhauled it -- new gaskets and seals, new oil and water pumps, new alternator, replaced all water and oil lines, engine mounts, and the fuel injectors. Shifts well Body is in good shape Leather interior THE BAD Slight leak in the power steering system -- I have replaced the pump, reservoir, high and low pressure lines, so it has to be rack and pinion (never had time to deal with it after replacing everything else) but it is a slow leak (I just check it every few weeks when I was driving it more often). Paint is shot -- primarily on the hood and trunk, and there is one dent on the underside of the passenger door. Although the Alt in new, I think there is a short somewhere as if you let it sit for a few days the battery will die. Needs a tune up badly The interior dash has cracks and a wood veneer (looks after market) that is peeling off in places. The leather seats are cracked in places and the stitching on the passenger side seat is coming undone. The alarm needs a fuse or maybe the fob is bad IDK, but the alarm fob slowly stopped working so I think it is the fob but it did work up until about a year ago. May have some minor leaks -- I checked pretty regularly and needed to top off the transmission fluid about once every two months. No sign of where it could be coming from and no sign of any contaminate last time a changed the radiator fluid.
