For your consideration is a 1968 Highland Green Ford Shelby Mustang GT 350 Fastback, #2103
This Shelby is an original, rust free, unrestored survivor car that has a little over 45K original documented miles. This car has 4-speed transmission, it wears most of its original paint and looks very good for its age. Since this Shelby is unmolested, it has a partial build sheet lodged in the right inner fender well and has the cleanest underbody I've ever seen with numerous unique factory markings. The interior is in original condition and only minor wearable items such as belts, hoses and exhaust have been replaced with period correct replacements wherever possible. This car runs and drives very well for its age and I would not hesitate to drive it any distance.
This car is fully documented with SAAC and in May 0f 2014 it was inspected by Shelby American Automobile Club judges, Mike Shally, Rodney Harrold, Tim Lea, Chris Thauberger and Peter Disher. These individuals have over 100 years of combined experience inspecting 1968 Shelby’s. I have a detailed report verifying #2103's authenticity from Pete Disher and it will be supplied to the new owner. This report along with a wealth of original paperwork, including the original bill of sale, original owner’s manual with registration from the state of Mass and other items including its factory build sheet that are special to this Shelby to solidify its unique pedigree.
Shelby’s like this don't into the public market often, its unique survivor status makes it very rare, and it could be years before a Shelby in this condition hits the open market.
Detailed information including numerous high definition pictures, SAAC judging sheets, report from Mr. Disher and video can be found the following web site.
