Here's a chance to own an Original Steve Arntz Cobra..Steve is considered the Godfather of the AC Cobra recreation. Steve tested his car designs throughout the 1970's and made major improvements in engineering..ie..Engine moved back 10" for better weight distribution and a tubular frame built almost twice as strong as the original AC cars from England. Also the fiberglass is about twice as thick and the door mounts are as strong as you could get. This car built in 1978 represents the 3rd generation or type 3 of his design improvements. He sold the company to Ron Butler circa 1981. Comes with 1981 Hot Rod and Sports car Illustrated cover feature stories on these cars Plus..an original Arntz Brochure. I might add that as a rule, he preferred Chevrolet power,...hence the big block Chevrolet in this car.
This car has been in a Southern California collection and has only 5975 miles..notice photos of L88 heads with virtually NO wear..The craftsmenship on this car is superb, the fitment of panels, the cooling system Red anodized shrouding in the engine bay..dash layout and adjustable 3 position pedals on the floor. She has a 42 gallon fuel tank, yes 42 gallon..Muncie4 speed transmission. The motor has Holley double pump Carburetor and it has period GM aluminum l88 heads with the "snowflake". Tubular A arms and Koni coi lover shocks with rack and pinion steering up front with 4 coil over shock mounted to the independent Dana 44 Positraction rear end.. There are really no issues whatsoever with the car. New battery. The Original wheels are Alloy Gotti's. The Dunlop GT/Qualifiers...Rears are R295/50 SR15's and Fronts are R265/50 SR15's. The dash is very rich Mahogany with correct lucas switches and SW gauges. Tail lights are Lucas.. Genuine Nardi steering wheel. This car is titled in California as a 1964 Ford..current tags. I also have a file with all the owners..I'm the 3rd and copies of the California registrations from Day 1 with the original Black California plate number. This is a very fine example, She sounds good, runs and drives as good as it looks. By the Way, there are NO stress cracks in the Gelcoat as one might be wondering..Exceptional original condition and original paint as well...When it comes to Cobra re-creations...this car is Super collectible in its own right....Please call with any questions, Jay 360-852-0589 100% since 1999.
