Description

376 break-in miles. This car is sorted out and ready to go. This Factory Five Kit was originally purchased in 2007. The kit sat in boxes for years and was never started. It was purchased by a NASCAR mechanic in Charlotte NC in 2014 and finished in February 2015. The car was never titled or driven on a public road before I bought it in March with only 50 test miles on it. Part of the purchase agreement between myself and the builder was that he would have the car titled in North Carolina as a 1965 vehicle. If you are new to the kit car market you should know that it's extremely important to title the car properly. Incorrect model years on the title can create nightmares. Since March I've enjoyed this car for over 300 miles. I regularly drive it to the local Cars and Coffee events as well as car shows and cruises. It creates a crowd wherever it goes.Under the hood it is fitted with a 347 Stroker motor that makes just under 390hp. The dry weight of the car is just over 1900lbs so it goes like hell. The motor is mated to a Tremec T5 transmission via a King Cobra clutch assembly. The Ford rear end is geared at 3.55. The car runs and shifts beautifully. Suspension is the upgraded Factory Five version with adjustable Koni Coil Over Shocks all around and a 3-link assembly at the rear. It rides and handles like a slot car. The builders specialty is suspension and alignment. He really set the car up right. It would be perfectly at home if it ever hit a track. The car stops via 4 wheel disc brakes. Every nut and bolt has been checked and then re-checked to make sure this car is solid and ready for its new owner. The paint is borderline spectacular. Its obvious that alot of money went into the finish. I applied 3M Paint Defender Film to the nose of the car and the entire area behind the rear wheels to keep the paint as pristine as possible. The stripes as well as the numbers and sponsorship decals are all removable should you decide to change the appearance of the car. I chose to set it up as close as possible to the 1965 LeMans car.I do my best to accurately portray the cars I sell on eBay. I have a 100% positive rating and it's very important to me to keep it that way. If there are any details or pictures I can provide to help you make your decision please contact me either through eBay or by calling me at 443.988.8645. I will bend over backwards to get back to you quickly and answer. Maryland bidders must agree to have all paperwork executed at a licensed retail automobile dealer. Thank you for looking. Andrew.
