You are bidding on a 1962 lark conv. showing 25,000 miles with a v8 and auto trans.I don't have documents to prove the mileage but the car tells me it's true.Fist off it runs like a 25,000 mile car,No smoke no noise. The mechanics of the car are excellent. It still wears it's mostly original interior including the rug which is still very nice.
The collector I purchased the car from purchased it from his accountant who purchased it from the original owner.Neither one of them drove it much.
The car was repainted sometime in the 80's and still looks very good. There is hardly a nick or a scratch to be found. It appears that the right front fender was replaced at that time. All of the chrome appears to be triple plated and looks like the day it was done.(bumpers,Grille,Doorhandles.etc)There is just some light pitting on the potmetal of the top surround.
The green on the lower section of the front seat was redone and done very well but the white inserts are still original. The conv.top was also replaced at some point and is still excellent.
There is 0 rust on the underside of this car.The floors, rocker panels, etc show no rust.I just replaced the old raylon cord tires with a set of radials. The car has a brand new recorded radiator as well as the heater core.I just replaced the water pump and fixed the e brake and the gas gauge.Everything on the car works including the radio and the power top.
If your looking for a first class driver that you can hop in and drive across the country the day you get it this is the car.
The few things that it can use are,It can use some new weatherstriping mainly on the conv. top.The cardboard in the door panels have some warpage and 1 or 2 cracks in the dash pad.The steering wheel is not cracked it's just the paint.
I promise you you will love this little car.
