Why upgrade to a Isuzu diesel engine? Because the diesel yields 20-25 MPG and has tons of torque. Driving around the city yields 19 mpg but this past weekend's trip to the mountains yielded 25 mpg. Compare that to 9-11 mpg that a normal FJ60 gets.
