Description

Great 1972 FJ40 with 63744 original miles. 1-family owned until I found it. Lived most of it's life in the desert so very limited surface rust (no rust through). mechanically in great shape. starts right up and runs . Some of the wearables have been replaced and it should not have any issues going on for a long time without problems. Brakes and 4-wheel drive works perfect. Having lived in the desert. all the door seals are totally worn out. the tires need to be replaced as they are cracking on the sidewalls. windshield wipers etc all needs to be replaced. The paint has also lived a hard life in the sun - roof/hardtop. several places on hood etc is in need of a re-paint if that's your style. It looks like the hood. front fenders and doors were repainted at some point. Not the top nor the rear sides. Personally I think that new seals. a new windshield and a good wax job is all that it would take. Then you have a "real" FJ. But you could also spend some time and go though it and end up with an absolutely fantastic vehicle. And the "legal" BS: It's a well used and much loved vehicle. Given that it has lived a long life. nbsp; I'm sure there are many things I have not listed that will need fixing to be in "as new" shape. So. it's a used vehicle. No guarantees! I'm sure you know way more about FJ's than I do. if you're looking at this. so if you have any specific questions. please send me an email. I am happy to provide more pictures etc. And if you really want it. come take a look at it and take it for a little spin. And as stated elsewhere - it has clear title (not a salvage vehicle) and is located in Windsor. CA - about an hour north of San Francisco. New oil everywhere. so with new tires I would think that you should be able to drive it home. wherever that might be. Please make sure you have your money/spouse ready to go before you bid! Contact me ahead of time if you have a low score/standing unless. I will delete bids by zero experience bidders etc unless I hear from you. $1000 deposit due in 24 hours. Balance in 7 days of end of auction.
