Details:
Hilix 1993 Double cab 2.4L 2L engine with an aftermarket Garrett turbo with custom intercooler. Turbo was installed years ago by former owner. Engine is tuned to low boost and low fuel. This install was done conservatively and by a professional. It is a common and safe install. The difference in performance is very obvious over normal 2L and makes the vehicle very user friendly with a "modern" feel. MPG is still in the 20-32 range on average roads.
Suspension is upgraded to a 2.75 in lift with heavy duty spring set up. Again professionally installed. Has rear work light, forward Hellas and 8000lbs T-Max winch with wire rope. Front bumper is a well made unit of unknown manufacturer. Rear bumper and rock sliders are ARB units. It has a duel battery set up. Custom roof rack is well anchored and designed, and has a rear upright unit to allow for carry of long cargo such as kayaks or such.
Pickup bed could use a spay on liner. It also has a full rubber canvas cover, that is usable, but will need fixing or replacing soon.
This truck drives VERY well on local roads or highway. On 8% to 10% slopes at 50 mph in 5th gear the truck will gain speed if stepped on (without any smoke of any color/kind). Frame is 100% rust free as is the body. Hood looks as if it has had a respray that is not up to the modifications on the rest of the vehicle, but ti certainly more than passable.
Truck was imported from Netherlands 100% legally. Truck has a clear legal CT title. I have owner and driven many Hilux, this model and year is one of the best and this particular one is the best I have come across. I imported to use in a 4x4 driving school, but I believe this truck is better suited to someone to really use it for their own adventure - honestly I did not have the heart to subject this truck to the rigors of 4x4 training. In additio, our fleet plans have changed and we will be buying newer model Hilux instead of these solid axle Hilux (yes we know these are better, but they are not as common now and we need to train with current models).
- Vin# JT133LNA409022872
- New Timing Belt this week
- Clear USA title – Connecticut
- Original Netherlands title and registration
- 2.4 liter turbo diesel (Garrett turbo)
- 2L engine
- Manual transmission - 5 speed
- USB mobile Aux.
- CD player
- Bluetooth Parrot phone system
Needs:
- Rear bed cover,
- General bushing renewal (bushings all still good and truck drives tight and well, but on inspection it is clear they are getting old).
- Respray hood if you are into perfection
The professional modifications both on engine and to suspension/body are very well done with a mind to longevity and reliability (in other words this is not hack job for power and stupid wheeling, but instead for improvement of safe usability .... i.e. this was a adult job for practical real reasons.)
Thank you

Sorry all -- year is 1992 NOT 1993 (my mistake) - you can look up vin to confirm. Build date is March 1992, so the vehicle is 25 years old. All paperwork is on the up and up.
