I am the third generation owner of this truck. My Grandfather bought it new in 1979 (you can have the original receipt pictured) and it has lived under a car port when not being drivenever since. He lived in Atlanta, and in 2013 I inherited it. I registered it as an antique outside of Nashville TN, and have driven it for fun on the weekends ever since. It's like stepping in a time machine driving this truck, no power steering, no power windows, manual transmission, it's a machine not a computer on wheels.
However my wife and I are moving and it no longer makes sense to keep the truck. It runs well, has a rebuilt carburetor, new ignition, and brand new tires (and full size spare tire). There is one issue I have not been able to figure out. When it sits for a week the engine turns over for 45-50 seconds before it finally starts. The next day it will start fine. Perhaps it needs a new accelerator pump.
I haven't driven it for 4 months. It's great for around town weekend driving, I wouldn't take it on a cross country trip though.
The truck needs to be picked up in Mount Juliet TN (outside of Nashville) by September 1st. Email if you want to see more pictures or have any questions.
