2.0-liter, 116-horsepower. Front wheel drive. 5-speed manual transmission.

This model is known for reliability. Mechanically perfect. EVERYTHING works including the great 1987 toys: awesome powered antenna (rises over rear driver side wheel when you turn on radio or pop in a cassette, retracts when radio off or turn off car), flip-up headlights, sun roof (tilt or slide), power windows and locks, rear defogger, AM/FM radio and cassette player. Because of its age, we had to replace pretty much everything that was rubber: wires, tires, suspension. So, now it is in the condition you would expect for a newer car with 57k miles. You should expect at least another trouble free 100k miles out of it.

Consistently gets mid 30s mpg commuting (country/city) upper 30s mpg highway.

Owned by same family since new. Owner's manual included. Annoying problems with dashboard visors, mismatched mud flaps, rear hatch seal (using section of garden hose to patch a torn section). A/C works but has trouble keeping up on sunny days with all the glass. Stored in heated garage every winter since new. Heater and defroster (front and rear) works. All four floor mats are included. They are original factory and look new.

Selling due to death in the family. Title is clean - no problem. Car is titled joint with right of survivor. Michigan will transfer if survivor signs and attaches copy of death certificate.

Currently has antique car plate because of substantial savings on insurance. Can register with regular plate if desired.

Car is parked for viewing or test drives on paved road in Michigan. It is near Gee Farms, on Bunkerhill Road between Baseline and Territorial, just south of Pope Road. This is northern Jackson County almost to Ingham County (Baseline is the border between these counties). Look for it on the east side of Bunkerhill just south of Pope Road.

Last dealer maintenance in MD 6/18/11 (year earlier). 45,794 miles. Oil change, gasket, filter, oil. Thoroughly reviewed by dealer - no problems identified.

7/3/12, 47,075 mi. Redid rear brakes.

8/8/12, 47,747 mi. Replaced power antenna.

8/29/12, 48,057 mi, replaced spark plugs with NGK Platinum, spark plug wire set NGK with wound wires inside, set idle to 750.

8/30/12, 48,069 mi. Belle Tire fixed spare, made passenger front the spare and rotated the tires.

Dec 2012, Update suspension and brakes. Brakes (rebuilt cylinder on drivers rear), strut cylinders, front & rear sway bar link, rear shocks.

4/21/13. 49,085 mi, all tires set to 36 psi.

6/15/13. 49,620 mi. 4 new tires, all season radial expected life 40k, and front+rear wheel alignment. Free rotate at Belle Tire.

9/7/14. 53,570 miles. Dash "brake" light off and on randomly. Topped off brake fluid. Brake light did not come on after that. Fixed.

9/13/15. 55,767 miles change oil and oil filter. Quick place on corner State & Ellsworth. Filter is standard size still in use on most Toyotas on the road today.

9/5/16. 57,015 miles. Detailed to prep for sale.
