I am selling my 1989 4x4 Toyota Pickup that I’ve had for 4 years. I originally bought it just because I needed a truck to move from Seattle to California but I fell in love with it and have kept it since.
It’s a wonderful truck and if you know anything about 80’s/90’s Toyota trucks, these things were built incredibly well and by far, stand the test of time. Watch the episode on Top Gear where they try and destroy a Toyota Pickup and you’ll understand what I’m talking about…
This truck is a lot of fun. I’ve taken many trips with it and its been incredibly accommodating and an absolute blast. I’ve hauled trailers, motorcycles, moved friends, and camped with it under the stars — wonderful memories. This truck is very unique with its look and original paint job.
All that being said, I hope this thing goes to someone who will cherish it and take good care of it — these old Toyotas will last a long time when well-maintained. Preferred buyer would be a sort of a gear head or collector, whether beginner or expert.

HISTORY:
I bought this truck from a man who was selling it on behalf of his friend that had passed away. That original owner had bought it in 1989 and thus it has only had 2 owners before me. I have a huge stack of purchases/repairs paperwork that had been done to the truck since the 2nd owner bought it in February of 1998 at 99k miles. I was happy to get those when I bought it.
I just had the engine and under body degreased and steamed a few weeks ago
Truck ALWAYS passes state-certified SMOG inspections with flying colors
I’ve had only one accident with it and it wasn't until last summer — some girl hit me not paying attention as I was pulling out of Whole Foods. The dents are on the passengers side and do NOT affect the doors functioning whatsoever — just an annoyance.
This truck is sold “AS-IS” and thus includes no warranty.

SUGGESTED MAINTENANCE:
-A few of the engine seals are leaking slightly and need to be replaced. This is typical for these old trucks. I don’t have the time myself thus never did them.
-Oil Pan gasket is leaking slightly and should be replaced as well
-Will be due for a timing belt replacement soon
-The clutch is working fine with zero slippage. However, it’s the original clutch and thus the pressure plate is a bit stiff. Again, not a necessary replacement — but wanted to disclose that.
-For the past year, I’ve been changing the oil/filter myself every 3k miles — just extra TLC you typically give to these older trucks.
