Up for sale is my rare 77 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-55. I have owned the truck for the last year and half and have kept it garage kept since I have owned it. I drive it 2 or 3 times a week when it's sunny out and have never had it out in the snow or salt. The truck was originally from California and has only been in NJ for the last year and half in my garage. The later 70's cruisers are more desired because they have the 2F engine. 4 speed transmission. and front axle with disc brakes. I have had a lot of fj40's over the years and this was my first opportunity to own a 55 and it is a completely different ride. The truck starts up first time everytime and drives straight down the road. When you look under the hood everything is stock and everything is where it is suppose to be and doesn't have extra spliced in wires running all over. All the emission parts are still there since it was from California and even has the rare factory fan in the corner near the headlight. I replaced the oil pump. oil pan gasket. oil filter. air filter. and spark plugs in the last couple of months. The body is in good shape and not rotted away like most east coast land cruisers. The passenger side door must of caught the wind at one point and dented it. I found a extra door to replace with. The passenger side rocker has some rust 2 or 3 dime size holes that should be a easy fix. The passenger side roof has some paint bubbling along the side as shown in the pictures but only has one dime size whole that goes through and can be fixed easily. The rear passenger side under the rear taillight has a small dent that can be pulled out by a body shop I just dont have the right tools and the guy at the body shop said its better if you fix it once rather than trying to fix someone's else's repair so I left it. Besides the spots i mentioned the rest of the body is in good shape. The frame and floors on the truck are in great shape and have the factory rubber floor mats that are in good shape still. The tailgate glass and motor were removed at one point and I have a replacement piece of glass and found a tailgate motor and gearbox to make the rear tailgate window work. The truck is a great cruiser to jump in and enjoy with your family or put some money into and you can have a nice cruiser. The truck has factory wheels and 33 x 9. 5 BF Goodrich tires on it that give it a nice stance. These trucks are getting harder to harder to find stock without a different engines. axles. or a lift on them. Its a great truck and no one else in your town will probably have one that's why I liked it.
