Description

I am selling my 1975 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser with 86xxx miles that I recently acquired with the hopes of finishing the off-road build that the previous owner had started. The previous owner had begun to customize the truck to use off road on a ranch but moved to Colorado before totally finishing. The engine starts right up and runs smoothly and the 4-speed transmission shifts through the gears. Comes with the Cutlas selective drive hubs. Some of the work that has been done includes: square steel tubing welded to the frame fuel cell with new fuel lines custom front bumper smitty bumper on rear a custom rear hatch. The truck was repainted by the previous owner. The floors have been replaced and a new muffler was recently installed. The truck needs finishing especially interior and exterior detailing. Also the taillights need to be rewired. Here is a list of most of the things that need finishing: *Rear window should be sealed better or replaced. *Panel over fuel cell should have a latch created*small gaps in where the metal plates are connected to the frame could be filled and painted over.*more insulation or rubberized coating could be added to the floor pans and under the hood if desired.*EGR appears to have been removed.*A shift nob could be added to the transfer case shifter.*The horn turn signals flasher lights and rear lights need to be wired up.*There is not a heater installed.*The front seats could be replaced and jump seats could be added in the back.*The rims currently rub when there is a sharp turn and larger tires would make it more off-road worthy.*There is rust at the bottom of the doors (that said that doors close well - a testament to how well the tubing/frame was done.) *There is some rust in the back around the edges of the tub.*The rear driver side corner window has some scratches.*The headliner was removed.*There is some finishing on the dash that could be done *There are door interior need the pieces that you grab onto.*There is a piece (maybe a cabin air filter or vent?) that could be added to the passenger side fire wall.*Other bits are needed as evident in the pictures.*There are no seat belts.*One of the wheel hubs is missing a hub bolt/stud for a lug nut.*Hood needs a latch (or latches).*The rear driver side? brake shoe sounds like it is sticking a bit.*Was titled in Michigan recently acquired a clean WI title but there was a typo with title so that the title VIN ends in 37 instead of 87. The rest of the VIN is correct. The truck is located at my home in Madison WI. Please see the detailed pictures below. Please contact me with any questions at (608) 333-9076. A deposit of $300 is required with the full balance to be paid when you pick up the truck.
