Purchased truck out of Pennsylvania last year and had it hauled down. Fellow stated that it would need a head gasket. Also stated that his 14 year old grandson hit a pole while driving it around the yard. A new hood, rille, nd bumper were installed by the previous owner.
The good:
-Starts up, uns, nd drives.
-Overall the body is straight, o noteable body rust.
-These vehicles getting harder to find, specially with the 4 cylinder turbo.
-Could be a nice vehicle with some TLC but will take some work.
-Odometer appears to be working.
-Could probably be parted out for more than I'm asking for it.
-Top in good shape along with glass.
-All the power windows and locks work.
The bad:
-As stated a head gasket will be needed, il is milky. Would not recommend driving this vehicle, ring trailer or dolly.
-Both the interior and exterior will need a "very thorough cleaning".
-Carpet has stains and a couple of tears, ay want to replace it.
-Interior a 6 out of a 10, ust needs a good cleaning.
-Will need repaint if you want to go that far with it.
-The new hood, rille, nd bumper will need adjusting for proper fit.
-Keyswitch is in place but starts with pushbutton.
-A/C will need some work but there.
-There a couple of bubbles around the driver's rear wheel well but nothing major, hink it is the paint and not rust.
-Small dent on rear tailgate.
I'll end with this: I've bought several vehicles off the internet, he pictures all look much better on the web. Remember this is a used vehicle and it is 28 years old so please don't expect anything more. This will take a little work to bring back to life.
Selling as is where is.
On Jul-01-15 at 14:56:38 PDT, eller added the following information:
I was asked to add more pictures of the interior along with some of the paint bubbling issues that I mentioned. As described the interior will need good cleaning. Also I added pics that shows the wiper control speed control knob cover missing (wipers still work) and the console which the previous owner wrapped the armrest pad with fabric. You will also see a new front-end valance laying over the backseat....never got around to putting it on. The last picture shows the vehicle with a cover on it, his is where it's mostly been.
I've tried to be as honest as I can about the vehicle condition but have probably missed something. If you come to pick it up and decide that you don't want it I'll gladly refund your deposit with no hard feelings.
