Description

Up for sale is my nice little 81 BJ40. I bought it late last year to drive around Costa Rica while I was staying down there a few months. I picked it up off of a nice older man that had bought it new and took great care of it. I drove it around CR a while then had it shipped to the U.S. this spring and registered it in Kentucky where it will be sold with a clear KY title in my name so all the headache of getting it to the U.S. and registered has already been done.
It's mostly original but does have aftermarket aluminum wheels. The interior upholstery is original and in good shape but there is a small tear in the drivers seat bottom (in photo). The body and frame are in great shape, o rust issues or bondo That I can tell. The little diesel runs great and gets somewhere in the high 20's MPG. Has 116k which is pretty low for these little diesels that can commonly get 3-400k before any major work. The radio does not work and the little fog lights don't funtion either but I'm sure it's a easy fix like a loose wire or maybe it's been disconnected.
