Hello - Selling my 1975 FJ40 Landcruiser which I have owned about 3 years. The history as I understand is that it was originally a California vehicle. I purchased it from the prior owner who transported it to Wisconsin for a year or two and I now have the FJ back in northern California. This FJ is a daily driver and I have not taken it off-road during my care for the FJ. I do not have the full history on the vehicle and the mileage is likely over 100K miles.
Since acquiring the FJ, took it to Mudrak Custom Cruisers in Sonoma and had the following work performed totaling $12,321 (see the invoice in the photos):
-- Replaced the front drum brakes with Disc brakes
-- New OME suspension installed
-- Upgraded the power steering system - super tough for the trail
-- New tires including the spare - Toyo A/T Open Country 31x10.5 5R15LT
-- New OEM wheels & caps
-- Had a standard powder-coated roll bar installed (removed the full cage from some prior owner)
-- New channel front bumper
-- Carb kit installed
-- New door mirrors installed (removed the after market mirrors from some prior owner)
-- Tuffy console
-- Replaced the after market steering wheel with a FJ60 steering wheel
Gary Kardum at Mudrak did an outstanding job on the brakes and suspension - ready for the trail. Since that work in late 2013, also had installed a new visors, ew master brake cylinder, ew belts, ew water pump, ew clutch master cylinder - all totaling another $2,000 or so. I also have a new headliner ($170 still in the box) from CCOT that you can have if you pay for shipping - separate from the vehicle.
As you can see in the photos, here is some rust developing on the vehicle - less than what you would expect if you know this vehicle and consider it is a 1975. The most noticeable areas are (1) where the full roll-bar (now replaced with OEM roll-bar) was mounted on the front floor board area; (2) rust near the body seams next to the passenger and driver's door handle; and (3) around the rain channel where the fiberglass top mounts. All in all, his is a very nice looking FJ!
The engine is stock except for the carburetor and air filter. The after market radio and speakers do not work, he choke is not connected, nd the fuel gauge is not accurate. The driver's seat leans back a bit more than I would like. And while there are other things to pick at, his is a solid daily driver and has never failed to start up and get me where I needed to go. Please note that since taking the photos, bumped the right rear reflector and it fell off .. no other damage.
The vehicle is being sold as is. There is no warranty or guarantee. The buyer must arrange and pay for shipping. There are no returns or refunds on this sale. If you have any questions, lease ask BEFORE bidding.
Thanks very much and once again, lease ask questions before bidding.
