I have owned this truck since ~30,000 miles (purchased in 2001). I bought the truck as a salvage title; it had body damage on driver's side bed. Body defect was corrected (see picture of drivers side bed where there is some puckering of the paint).Truck has been absolutely solid and reliable, ut I need to do more driving than is fair to ask of it. Currently driveable with no major problems. Been avoiding selling it because I'm so fond of it. Registration has lapsed since June 2015. Features:
- Solid automatic transmission & drive train with no issues
- 4wd is reliable and works great. Have had rear differential checked for leaks every year before snow season. Add some weight in the back and nothing stops it.
- Comes with 4 studded tires mounted on steelwheels with only one year of wear. See pictures. If you don’t want them, egotiable. Current 3 season tires have some wear (see pictures) and are mounted on aluminum wheels.
- Head gasket replaced <1yr ago (Aug. 2014). Original 22re motor was rebuilt 10yrs ago
- Interior carpet was pulled and replaced with vinyl flooring for easier cleaning.Seat has new cover.See pictures of cab.Owned by a non-smoker.
- All brake lines new (June 2015)
- Muffler and exhaust replaced (2012)
- Gas tank and pump replaced (2011)
- Repainted (2008)
- The only hole that compromised the structural integrity of the frame was patched by a mechanic almost 1 year ago (Aug. 2014). Hole was located in passenger side frame, nder bed, n front of gas tank. See pictures of frame patch. Other areas of frame rust are present. See pictures and descriptions below.
Numerous “old truck” issues:
- gas gauge is inaccurate below ¼ tank (tank and fuel pump replaced in 2011)
- dashboard is cracked (had to remove it to replace electrical relay in 2012)
- ignition replaced (2012) so door and ignition keys are different
- odometer does not work. Currently stuck at 197,000k mi, ut based on oil changes, ruck has 215,000-220,000 mi.
- No spare tire
- Emergency brake does not work
- No catalytic converter
- 1.5” hole in frame located passenger side in front of rear tire. (See picture)
- 2” hole in frame located drivers side, n front of rear tire. (See picture)
