Description

Up for sale is a RARE, ESTORED, LEAN TITLE, EGISTERED AE95 Toyota Corolla DX Alltrac Wagon with Automatic Overdrive Transmission and Air Conditioning. After rebuild, he engine has <2k mi. on it, nd the tranny has about 4k mi. on it.This is the even rarer-than-usual 1989 version, hich has “Toyota AllTrac” prominently featured on the front grille, hereas the later models replaced it with the generic Toyota Sombrero. This fuel-injected wagon has lived all its life in Reno and Los Angeles, hich is why the body is so clean.

I purchased this vehicle about 4 years ago in good condition, ith only 183k mi on it. But I wanted more than just good, wanted this vehicle to be purring along another 40 years from now, o the past 4 years have been a labor of love: restoring every area I could in that time. By no means do I expect to make back even a fraction of what I’ve spent in this process, ut I do hope the new owner appreciates the time, ffort, nd $$$ that went into this car. I also hope it goes to a good home.

Here’s what I’ve done or had done over the past 4 years, uring which time it’s only been driven ~13k mi. (again, lt;2k on rebuilt engine, 4k on rebuilt transmission):

C. TO DO

As you can see from the list above, he restoration has been pretty comprehensive. However, s with any 26 year old vehicle, here are some little things a “perfectionist” might want to look at, ncluding:

- The paint shop couldn’t completely restore the front and rear bumpers due to the flexible nature of the rubber used. If you want them perfect, eplacement is your only option.

- The paint shop also didn’t want to repaint the black metal trim around the windows; not a biggie, p to you to do so if you want it perfect

- The switches that activate the interior lights when the doors are opened need to be replaced

- There is a little overspray from the paint job

- The “Corolla” and “Alltrac” tags behind the rear hatch glass are faded

- Front seatbelts don’t retract very well (all of them do this at this age) so need to pull on them a few times to get them to retract

- DS headlight aim is off (headlight assy?), ut works fine

- The dash lights (that come on when you turn headlights on) recently went out. These had loose contact somewhere behind center bezel before, o should be easily fixable

- 2-3 nicks/scratches in paint, ith one of them looking like it took out some paint (pictured)

- Rear hatch lock takes some jiggling of the key to lock/unlock

- *On the aftermarket, -gauge cluster I added to the center console, never got around to connecting the oil pressure gauge and the coolant temp gauge appears to underreport due to suboptimal sender location. Note this refers to the aftermarket gauges in the center console only; the factory gauges (including factory coolant gauge) work just fine!

I should have or be able to find parts invoices to verify most of the new/rebuilt parts listed above. This vehicle is in excellent shape for its age. I have tried to describe every aspect of the vehicle as accurately as possible, utI think it goes without saying that, ith a vehicle this old, he onus is on you to come and see it for yourself and drive it, r to get it inspected before purchase. No warranty will be provided beyond the aforementioned engine warranty from M8 Automotive. $1k deposit required upon purchase.Vehicle transport is the responsibility of the buyer.
