They have the mystique and magic of objects that time has somehow forgotten. You won't hear about the extensive restoration, t hasn't occurred. Like an enigma that has somehow turned back the hands of time, ovingly cared for or, n some cases, paringly reserved for special occasions. "Survivors", s we call them, re experiencing a new found appreciation among auto enthusiasts. Survivors may not be perfect, et that is, n many cases, hat makes them perfect. The term “barn find” is well used in the vintage car market but this 1972 one owner FJ40 literally lives in a beautiful timber frame barn so I’m guessing she qualifies as a barn find!
Owned by one family since March 11th 1972 and purchased at Calvert Motors in Arlington, A, his 1972 FJ40 comes with over $17,000 in maintenance records. Most recently, new Weber carb, ew OEM radiator, teering rebuild, ew interior upholstery, tarter and more. The truck is mechanically excellent!
Under the hood you'll find her original engine with a Webercarburetor recently added. Inside you will find all new upholstery and the original dash pad and headliner in great shape. The rear jump seats were removed long ago to make room for wooden storage boxes that were used when the Land Cruiser made a trip to Peru and back in the1970's. These can easily be removed. All the gauges and controls work. Heater is great. There is no radio or A/C.
