Description

1977 Toyota FJ40V Cruiser 4X4

Chevy 350 with Automatictransmission

1977 Toyota FJ40V Cruiser

Toyota came out with a version of the famed WWII era American Jeep with origins dating back to the Korean War era. Toyota launched these vehicles in 1960 and began exporting them to the US in 1963. The Land Cruiser was by far the best selling Toyota vehicle in America. It was essentially the same vehicle until it went out of production in 1983. They were built as a very tough and capable bare bones rock hopper that could go anywhere. The Hardtop design made it much more usable than the CJ’s, ith more room inside as a bonus. Really these were the first SUV’s.

This FJ40 as with many others was upgraded with a small block Chevy V8, hich yields much more power and better parts availability than the stock 125hp Stovebolt knock off. The Chevy V8 has lots of potential, nd is easy to fix and upgrade. The SBC in this FJ Cruiser is strong and smooth running, specially mated to the automatic transmission. It has all the common SBC upgrades, lloy intake manifold, pdated distributer and a brand new Edlebrock truck series carburetor. This FJ also features upgraded lifted suspension, arlin Crawler transfer case, assive 37” Good Year MT Wrangler tires, ir Compressor, nd custom air storage tank. It has a Warn winch (have not tested winch, issing controller) and premium Warn hubs. One of the best upgrades is cold blowing AC!

All the mods on this Toyota have been professionally done, nd should be good for many miles of adventure. This truck has a lot of the styling elements that a well known aftermarket builder uses, ith its blacked out bits, heels and roof. We have checked out this rig mechanically and have found no issues, r rust, hich is a very big deal on a vehicle of its age.

Please be sure to look over all the photos of the truck and email any questions. We are happy to assist with any questions or shipping quotes.
