I've owned this truck 4 years (bought from a friend who'd had it for a few years but never really dug into it as a project), nd it's time to move on.
What it's got:
- small block chevy engine conversion (with proper CARB sticker on the firewall, ince it was done back when it still needed to be smogged)
- Edelbrock carb
- Pertronix distributor
- MSD plug wires
- MSD coil
- K&N air cleaner
- 12si single-wire alternator
- original 3-speed "dogleg" manual transmission
- original glass all around
- air-adjustable rear shocks (Schrader valves on the rear bumper for airing up/down)
- completely rewired (with Painless Performance FJ40 kit)
- Ron Francis hazard switch
- Warn 8274-style winch-mount bumper (narrower than stock for improved approach angle)
- modified Badlands 12K winch (converted to front-mount)
- wireless remote (wired remote included, oo)
- Fairlead snap-on front license plate mount
- rebuilt door latch mechanisms
- refurbished gauge cluster
- new headlights
- media blasted & refinished:
- stock round mirrors
- glovebox door
- rear bumpers
- rear brake light brackets
- rear license plate light housing
- repaired and refinished:
- front fascia (also now black)
- rear turn signals/brake lamp brackets
- front disk brake conversion (including a brake booster)
- new spare wheel (old spare only fit on the rear because of disc brake conversion in the front requires later-style (slightly more clearance) wheels)
- wheels all stripped and repainted (black)
- custom spare tire stand-off
- custom rear license plate mount (since originals for pre-7/70s are unobtanium)
- new high-floatation all terrain tires (incl spare)
- new battery
- new hardtop seals all around
- new premium door weather seals
- new pop-out kick-vent seals
- new glove box weatherstrip
- repaired horn (original button!)
- rear lift door struts converted to gas strut (hidden inside OEM spring strut housing)
- Lots of new hardware:
- hood hold-downs (new aftermarket)
- windshield bumper (for when you fold it down)
- windshield hinge bolts (stainless steel)
- door hinge bolts (ss)
- mirror arm screws (ss)
- rear door hinge bolts (ss)
- front bumper (ss)
- heater intake grill screws (ss)
- tow hooks (8.8)
- cowl vent (stainless steel)
- original rear jump seats (could use reupholstering)
- new shifter boot
- very dry -- no significant rust to speak of (I've found a couple small cosmetic spots that I'm happy to point out in person. Nothing structural.
- Rubicon plaque on the dash from 4 July 1989 (well before I owned it)
Also included:
- rear heater (needs to be re-brazed if you want to re-install it. currently that circuit is just a "u-turn" of tubing at the firewall)
- emissions control stuff (possibly incomplete. Was half-taken out when I got it, o I removed the remainder.)
- various replacement badge gaskets (for example, he "4 wheel drive" badge on the rear is still okay)
- Chilton and Haynes manuals
- Bunch of random bolts that were replaced with stainless steel ones
Still to be done (if you want to do them):
- recover front seats. Currently upholstered in authentic American Gorilla Tape.
- install window scrapers & felt channels (included)
- fiddle with the heater blower wiring
- hook up the stock ammeter? (I don't want to chance it with the high output alternator)
- replace reverse light with a working one (original's bulb socket is gone, nd the lens is milky and crazed anyway)
- add a brake bias adjustment / rear pressure restrictor. With the front-disc conversion (which added a brake booster), he rear drums are a little "grabby" at low-speed.
Why am I selling it?
I also have a 1964 Nissan Patrol, nd I don't really need two awesome, ed, hort wheelbase offroad trucks.
Other things to know
It does highway speeds (~70mph+) no problem.
I have not taken it offroading since I got it, ut I got the knobby tires so you could if you wanted.

That mileage seems quite low, nd since it's only a 5-digit odometer, ou should assume it's rolled over at least once. I'm only responsible for a few thousand miles of that.
