My old straight axle, FI, utomatic trans rare one year of a kindrunner is in really good shape, o the biggest part of this description will deal with whats wrong with it.I will make every attempt to identify every shortcoming it has, ell the vehicle's "story", nd the pictures will tell the rest.. Original paint, riginal interior, riginal numbers matching glass, ery clean for a runner.No rust through anywhere, here are a couple spots where the paint has given up, nd there is light surface rust, nd those are plainly visible in the pics. The only thing not original is the shocks, nbsp;wheels and the steel spacers they are bolted to, nd thats a good place to start. There are some broken studs (6), think though, hat these are on the spacers, ut I have not had the wheels off to see. On second thought, am not sure that the clinometer is factory and Im prettysure that it isnt. The screws dont look right. There are a few light dings and scratches, othing major. Has original spare. Has original tool kit for the jack, nd the jack. Missing one screw in the tailgate interior trim piece. small tear in passenger seat.small tear in driver's seat. AC supposedly good, ut switch is bad. Clock does not function (digital) and I dont know why. Crack in dash. Cassette player will rewind and fast forward, ut does not like to eject. I think it does not play, ut the radio works well. Cruise light comes on, ut it does not appear to work, ont know why. Rear wiper needs a new blade. Console between seats has broken hinge part, as fixed with screws. Shifter handlehas a little slop in in it (not the mechanism, he stick itself)Tiny pin hole in back side of back seat, therwide it is perfect. Tires are very worn and cause it to be a little squirrelly in turns because they are "humped". Drives great on the interstate, n a straight line. Needs tires. Mechanically it is excellent, nd overall it is excellent given the year.Rear fenderwells have been trimmed out, nd then filled and painted black to prevent rust. Its actually pretty hard to see or tell. (I did not do this !), nbsp;
This truck lived its life in western oklahoma until july or august., hen I bought it. Im selling it, ecause when I met the truck I got stars in my eyes and fell in love with it. I really cant afford to have it, s it isnt a work truck, m overly anal about keeping it nice, nbsp;and my only storage is a carport.where the dirt daubers want to make it their home. I did a carfax on it, nd it came back as a mileage discrepancy which has to be an error. I say that, ecause (dates here not exact, ut time period is)it hit the dealership new, nd carfax shows that 5 days later it sold, ith over 50,000 miles on it. I dont see how those records that far back there could be falsified,so Im going with the mistake theory. Additionally, he carfax shows that it was registered and allowed to expire for extended periods, o has probably only been licensed for a third of its life in total.
The story. This was a one owner truck until this year. I was told by the second ownerthata relative of the original owner borrowed it for a trip, eft off the overdrive button, nd blew up the engine on the interstate. In October 2012, ith the mileage showing 50,634 it had a new Jasper long block installed, long with injectors, istibutor cap, gnition rotor, elden spark plug wires, GK plugs, ew fuel filter, ter pump, hermostat, adiator cap, adiator hoses, ypass hose, ower radiator hose, xhaust gasket, oyota pcv valve, nd hose. I have the reciept and the warranty for the engine and mechanic work,engine warranty from Jasper is100K miles, nd I understand that it is transferable.. The reciept shows a total of 4,897.00, ith 2,690.00 of that the engine alone. So basically the engine has 3000 miles on it. I am the third owner, he second owner confessed that he did the same thing that I did which was to buy a truck that was entirely too clean to leave parked out in the weather. He told me that he took the top off one time, nd the original owner never had. When I got the truck, t was missing it's skid plate under the engine. Somehow it disappeared when the truck was getting a new motor. I bought one that had been restored and came with the original screws and replaced it. (hard to find, nd not cheap!) It appears that the rear bumper has been powder coated, o it looks very new. All glass is original and numbers match. Some fading paint on the topper side window trim. rubber floor mats are like new. Im pretty sure thats all I can say, f I have forgotten to mention anythingI will add it.
