Description

This car has been stored since 1972 in a heated, ry carriage house. This was the last time it was on the road prior to restoration. A year ago, his car was taken out of storage and the restoration process begun. The work that has gone into the completion of this project is as follows:
  • All the fluids have been replaced
  • New and replaced clutch, ressure plate, nd throwout bearing
  • Master cylinder and brake lines are all new
  • Clutch slave cylinder and line replaced
  • Stainless steel exhaust system has been installed
  • Replaced water pump, lugs, ap, otor, oints, ondenser, nd coil
  • Carbs rebuilt
  • Fuel pump and fuel filter have been replaced. Fuel tank had been removed and professionally cleaned
  • Valve cover gasket, eater control valve, oses, nd air filters are all new
  • Convertible top, arpet and seat upholstery all replaced to stock.
  • Contains original stock Triumph AM radio
  • Four brand new tires, pare tire in trunk is original
  • All body panels are original. All filler used was strictly for dings and dents, ot for rot or rust. Rocker panels still have original rubber drain plugs intact
  • Original Lucas headlights
  • Several small dings and dents on body
  • Original paint code 32 red was used
  • As with all Spitfires, here is some minor paint chipping on the bonnet and door edges
  • Chrome is in fair condition, ild pitting exists. Not bent
  • Forward floor pans replaced because metal was thin, ot due to rot
  • All bonnet, runk and door seals have been replaced
  • Heat actually works!
  • Hub caps are in fair condition, lthough one is noticeably dented
  • Car is on the road and driven only in nice weather

This is a 51 year old car and is being sold as is. I have done my best to describe every detail, oth positive and negative. This is not a concourse restoration. However, t is a great summertime ride daily driver. It has been a real joy driving this car and talking to people about their experiences owning these cars in the past. I hope you can find as much enjoyment with it as I have.
