Description
1976 tr6 with 18000 original miles with overdrive transmission. Comes with Original window sticker original title application original jack. Boot cover and toneau covers in excellent condition. I have restored several TR6's and everything has been done as should be. This is pretty close to new as you will find today. I tried to maintain everything as original with one exception that I opted to change the carpet color to red. A rare opportunity. Fresh Restoration. Work done: New wire harness ignition switch New windshield Front suspension taken apart cleaned painted new poly bushings installed. Front calipers taken apart new SS pistons installed. New brake lines. New rear brake cylinders & pads. Rear brake drums turned cleaned the rust out from where they had frozen from just sitting. Rebuilt brake M/C. Rebuilt clutch M/C & slave cylinder. New seals in differential. New Luk Clutch & pressure plate & disc. New Paint outside engine bay and trunk. new carpet. Original chrome bumpers lamps and door handles look like new. Doesn't look like this car ever sat outside. I left the factory paint on floors. The brown residue on the rockers is old glue. New windshield & door moldings. Nickel plated valve cover polished intake.Seats have new foam new sun visors. New fuel tank and sender new fuel pump rubber lines replaced and carbs rebuilt. 18000 mile car I do drive it occasionally so the mileage is changing. According to previous owner the car was purchased new in Indiana completely covered in Zebart undercoating and at sometime it was moved to Virgina where it sat for many years in 2008 he purchased it and move it to his mothers garage in Florida where I purchased it. After sitting for so long the brakes were frozen in place and there had been an apparently short in the wire harness so I replaced it. The last time it was on the road was in 1996 prior to this restoration. It took many days to remove all the undercoating from the engine bay to get it ready to paint. The car has the original soft top. There are two cuts in in from the previous not folding the top correctly. The car will come with 17 inch Rota wheels that are shown or stock original rims and new tires. Which ever the buyer prefers. South Carolina title in hand. I encourage anyone interested in the car to come and view it or have it inspected . You will not be disappointed. The car has recently been on a four hour trip to N. Carolina and a four hour trip to Tenn. Ran perfectly. Drive train is excellent how many 18000 original mile TR6's are out there? I also have a 1973 TR6 saphire blue in similar condition. I have also started a frame off restoration on a 1974 TR6. The car is 38 years old and is sold as is where is. The car is located in Greer SC
