Description
1972 Triumph GT-6 fastback. Very nice driver. Some rust Some Bondo. Looks fairly decent. Drives Nice. Still fast and nimble. Can be restored or driven and enjoyed as is.67K miles. Which is probably accurate But I have no way of knowing. A fun car. SMALL!The Good: Drive it home complete. Fun to Drive. Fast. The motor starts very easy and runs smooth. Brakes are good. All the lights work. All the gauges work. (horn does not) A lot of work and new parts within the past couple of years: New Clutch new Brakes Master and clutch cylinder. electric fuel pump. Heater works. Glass good. Still looks like a proper old sports car. Classic. Can be trusted as much as any old British sports car. I drive this car regularly and it has never let me down.THE BAD: The tires hold air and are safe... But a new set of tires would be nice. The foam in the seats has lost alot of its integrity and the driver seat is not very comfortable anymore. The car has alot of room when you are inside and driving... But its hard to be graceful getting in and out of this tiny car!especially if you are larger. Two people only... not much room for anything else.THE UGLY: Rust.. This car had an amateur "restoration" probably 20 years ago and it is really starting to show its age and wear. The floors have sheet metal patches and the paint is a "ten footer" at best. Lots and lots of imperfections and touch up paint. The fender openings on all four wheels have rust bubbles the passenger side of the car is worse than the driver. The doors have rust bubbles on the bottom edges. Lots of paint chips and dings. This is a used 43 old British car. The car looks MUCH better in pictures than it does in person! The car comes with a replacement Bonnet Shell that is rust free but still used and dinged.I live about an hour SouthWest of Chicago. You can come and inspect the car. Please ask questions. If you have never owned an old foreign car and you don't like to work on cars... Well this car probably isn't a good idea for you. This car is drive-able and usable and reasonably safe... But it is a project that will require work! The car is sold AS IS. WHERE IS. I can assist with shipping etc. But the Buyer is solely responsible for coming and picking this car up.Clear Illinois Title in my name. No reserve auction. Highest bidder winsAll valid forms of payment are fine. Please do not waste my time
