Description

For sale is a beautiful 1966 Triumph Spitfire Mark2 1147cc with it's original, atching numbers, ngine and transmission. Included is the rare original steel hardtop although that needs to be refinished.
I have been the second owner of this gem since 1991.The Spitfirehas been fully restored. Restoration included repairing all body work and a professional paint job. New interior and convertible top. Refresh of the engine, ransmission, lutch, uspension, rakes, nd carburetor systems. . The chrome trim and front bumper are original and have been polished. The rear chrome bumpers are new. Car has black and white hounds-tooth high back seats from a later model Spitfire 1500. Included are the original low back seats in black with white piping that are in great condition. All gauges are in good working order. Also added an electric fan to the radiator and have had no overheating issues. The frame was cleaned of rustand treated. The body work and paint job is absolutely stunning and really shine. You won't find a nice painted Spitfire.
Since the restoration was completed this car has been a reliable driver that I would take down to the beach for the weekend or cruise around in style. The car has sporty handling and feels like a big go-kart. A great car to cruise in and enjoy the scenery. The car gets a great deal of attention wherever it is driven. It's a great "see and be seen" car and holds its own against the all the muscle cars at cruise nights. This car has won several awards at shows and was featured in an all Triumph calendar published by Eastgate Classics in 2002.
I have purchased my British dream car and have decided to let this one go so a third owner can enjoy. The car starts right up and goes. It has a great exhaust note and darts around like a go-kart.
This is a perfect car for someone who wants something reliable and a little different. It's a great attention getter!!! The parts are easy to come by and very reasonably priced.
The car is located and can be seen in Port St. Lucie Florida.
The buyer will be responsible for shipping.
I'm asking $9500 but feel free to give me a counter offer. I think that is a fair price for the car and it's condition.
