1972 Triumph TR6 offered with a reserve

This very nice example has been restored to a very nice, ear show quality level. The Interior and brightwork are without fault, he top is new, he wheels and tires are excellent, nd the car is rust free with a nicely detailed engine compartment and undercarriage. Everything appears to have been redone on this car it appears to have been a ground up restoration. The car runs exceptionally well I have taken it on several long distance tours and it has never left me by the side of the road. It handles well, hifts well, tops well, oes down the road straight as an arrow, nd never disappoints.
A triple Weber Carb set up, hich evidently was used in Europe for Rallying and includes a beefer Cam, ual exhaust, nd a Roll bar have been added. This car sounds simply amazing-it is the best sounding TR6 I have ever encountered.
This is one of the better TR6's we have had the opportunity to represent. This is a fine example that will provide years of driving enjoyment. If you are looking for a nice TR6 you can really enjoy driving and showing this is your car!

The Triumph TR6 (1969–76) was a British six-cylinder sports car and the best-seller of the TR range built by Triumph when production ended in July 1976. This record was then surpassed by the TR7. 91,850 TR6s were built.
All TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. For the US market the engine was carburetted, s had been the US-only TR250 model's engine. For other world markets including England, he TR6 was fuel-injected as had been the non-US market TR5. The Lucas mechanical fuel injection system helped the home-market TR6 produce 150 bhp at model introduction. Later the non-US TR6 variant was detuned to 125 hp in order for it to be easier to drive, hile the US-variant continued to be carburetted with a mere 104 hp.
The TR6 featured a four speed manual transmission. An optional equipment overdrive unit was a desirable feature because it gave drivers close-gearing for aggressive driving, et "long legs" for open motorways. TR6 also featured independent rear suspension, ack and pinion steering, ifteen inch wheels and tires, ile carpet on floors and boot, ucket seats, nd a full complement of instrumentation. Braking was accomplished by disc brakes in the front; drum brakes in the rear. A factory steel hard top was optional. TR6 construction was fundamentally old-fashioned: the body was bolted onto a frame instead of the two being integrated into a unibody structure; the TR6 dashboard was wooden (plywood w/ veneer).
Besides the TR250 and TR5, he TR6 was also preceded by a series of four-cylinder Triumph TRs: TR2, R3, R3A, R4, nd TR4A. TR6 was succeeded by the four-cylinder TR7 and the eight-cylinder TR8.
The Triumph TR6 is supported by active clubs and reliable service parts suppliers. Our Ebay Policies:
