This is a real deal 1964 21 window deluxe double door bus.
These do not come around very often at all!
Do not pass up thisopportunityto own one of very very few 21 window deluxe double doors out there!
This bus is rusty, ut with all the KlassicFab metal that isavailablethese days, t isrestoreable.
With single cargo door 21 windowbusesbringing over $100k restored, here is no telling what this bus would bring once restored, ut I can assure it it will be considerably higher. There has not been another example that has sold recently to compare it to.
The original VIN tag and M Code plate are in tact! Clean and clear Delaware title with correct vin number matching tag and Mcode plate!
This is a 2 owner bus. This 21 window Double Door was purchased new by the Alfred I Dupont school district in Delaware. It was painted yellow and used as a school bus for special needs students. Once the school was finished with the bus it was sold to the family in Delaware in the 70s. They drove the bus for a few years and then it was parked. It sat parked outside until about 6 months ago.
It is very complete. It has its original clock, peedo, adio, nd fuel gauge. It has the original belt line moldings, ocker moldings, umper trim, nd one side of the jail bars. All the original pop out latches are there. The original jack is still with the bus! The rag top mechanism is in place but is in poor shape.
All 25 pieces of glass are intact and every single piece is VW logod glass, ven the windshields!
The motor was removed and is not with the bus.
It rolls and steers.
The factory colors were L380 Turquoise and L289 Blue White with Como Green interior.
If you decode the M code plate, ou can see that this is a real deal double door. Code 212 represents double cargo doors foe a deluxe
This is also had option 620, hich makes it a factory 12 Volt bus, hich is pretty rare for 64.
Here is a link to the decoding of the Mcode plate:

The outer rocker panels are new replacements that are just screwed on, hey are not properly installed.
The bad:
As you can see, his bus has lots of rust. It sat outside for many years exposed to the elements. It has rust all over. The pictures tell the story. There are 100 high res shots of the entire thing. It is going to take alot of metal work.
It is hard for me to put a value on this bus. I am going to start it at $1000 and see where it goes. I reserve the right to end the listing at any time and will listen to serious offers only. If you are serious about this bus, mail me your number and I can contact you.
