There are few vehicles that garner as much attention as a Volkswagen Thing. The VW Thing, r Type 181, as designed as an off-road amphibious vehicle for use in the armed forces. What it became was something entirely different.

The Thing is instantly recognizable with its unabashedly boxy lines and spartan appointments. This no-frills approach to open top motoring made it an instant cult classic among beach bums and party goers alike. The Volkswagen Thing, long with its English cousin, he Mini Moke, ade its way to beach resorts around the world.

This VW Thing is remarkably solid-showing no signs of rust. This Thing has been mechanically well sorted and is in tip top shape-ready for yet another summer on the cape or on the islands. Better yet, ring her to a more consistently fair-weather clime for a year round beach car! Our mechanics have been over the car and it has a clean bill of health from them. As with all of our vehicles, e will of course be happy to see to any additional items that you desire before the car is picked up for shipping-please contact us for a quote or with any questions or service requests.
