She is garaged at our home in Coronado across the bridge from downtown San Diego California. A true classic Bay Window that turns heads everywhere she goes! We are making her available just in time for the Holiday season; she really could make the perfect gift!

Turning heads everywhere is an understatement! While out and about in town this 1976 Bus stops people in there tracks! On lookers can't help but take photos or selfies in front of her and weconsistentlysee lots of smiles and positive signs from people that see her everywhere we go. These vehicles have become icons and a true West Coast classic and have evolved into a status vehicle within some communities of the West Coast. She is wearing her original paint color combination of “Sage Green” & Pastel White or L63H & L90D. She has been repainted only once in the past 39 years and her current paint is less than a year old with superior sheen and luster. Her body is nearly 99% free of imperfections and is amazingly straight and rust free. The front windshield and the rubber seal are new. We installed mid section sliding windows with all new rubber seals. Left and Right rear quarter glass rubber seals were replaced as were the panel seals too. Rubber around rear tail gate window too. Sliding door and front drivers and passenger weather stripping was replaced with all rubber products from West Coast Metrics. We also installed new deluxe outside mirrors, ew front and rear side markers, ew Taillight assemblies and all rubber gaskets for exterior latches from West Coast metrics. While she looks stunning in her photos the pictures of her simply do not do her justice because she presents herself "significantly" better in person. She is not a trailer queen but darn close to it as a "Truly Stunning" example that turns heads every where.

The interior of our 1976 Volkswagen Bus is exceptionally nice! She comes with the original Brown colored interior. The front seat material and padding are in excellent condition. The middle seat material and padding is in very good condition with only light wear. The rear bench seat does fold down and is in very good condition with only light minor wear. The new head liner came from TMI and was completed after she received her new paint while all the glass was out. The dash board is in excellent condition and the painted portion of the dash is excellent as well. She has never been smoked in and there are zero signs oftobaccouse or odors of any kind! Last year we replaced her front kick panels with new ones and added two new front door interior panels. The rest of the interior door panels are in very good to excellent condition. Rubber floor mats are in very good to excellent condition. Window cranks have been replaced with new ones and the steering wheel has been upgraded to a factory padded wheel from a 1979 for improved comfort. Overall the interior of our eye catching 1976 Bay Window Bus is simply exceptional and while not perfect very close to it.

She drives as she should and has no problem keeping up with traffic. The transmission shifts effortlessly and correctly under all conditions with no grinding and never pops out of gear. Steering is precise and performs correctly as she drives straight down the road never pulling to any side! Safety items all work correctly including brake lights, ead lights, urn signals, ear side marker lights, ack up lights and license plate light. Her front disc Brakes and rear drums all perform correctly. The speedometer and odometer is in good working order.Her 2.0 liter Fuel Injected engine starts right up with out effort no matter how long she has been sitting and she justreceived anew correct interstate battery with a three year warranty. She also received a full mechanical inspection at California Westy.The wipers work correctly and we installed new blades and the four new radial tires have less than 500 miles on all of them and are less than six months old. She will not pass strict California smog requirements so she is titled in Oregon with current registration paid through November 2016.

We are a private party and not a dealer. Our Bay Window Bus is garage kept and located at our home in Coronado California within San Diego County and she is available for in person or third party inspections during the auction period only. I simply need 24 hours notice. After sale inspections are “not” available. Our Volkswagen Bay Window Bus is sold AS IS and NO WARRANTY of any kind is implied or offered. Financing for these specialized vehicles can be difficult so please do not bid if you don’t have the funds to complete a sale. Trucking or shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder although seller will assist in getting vehicle to theportofSan Diego orLos Angelesand or a nearby trucking depot. A $500 dollar non refundable deposit via Pay Pal is required within 24 hours of auction completion.The balance is due within 7 days of auction completion in the form of cash in person or Bank wire. International wires are subject to a banking surcharge depending on banking institution. No personal checks or credit cards can be accepted. Cashier’s check is okay only if drawn from a local bank with seller present. Upon clearance of funds seller will release clean title and bill of sale to buyer or with buyers request to vehicle shipper if she is to be exported. Please have arrangements in place to get this exceptional VW Bay Window picked up within ten days of auction completion. Surf Board and racks are not included in sale.
